What is a Chocoteja Bonbon?

A Chocoteja is an iconic Peruvian chocolate bonbon, handcrafted with a rich dulce de leche caramel center, pecans or fruits, and covered in premium Peruvian chocolate.

At Helena Chocolatier, our Chocotejas have been handcrafted in Ica, Peru, since 1975, following the tradition established by our founder, Elena Soler.

What Makes Helena Chocotejas Special?

Our signature dulce de leche is slowly cooked for 8 hours, creating an exceptionally smooth and rich caramel. It is then paired with carefully selected ingredients such as pecans, guava, orange, prunes, or raisins, before being covered in premium chocolate.

The result is an irresistible combination of creamy caramel, distinctive fillings, and fine chocolate.

A Peruvian Tradition, Served Around the World

Helena Chocotejas have traveled far beyond Peru, including 18 consecutive years aboard American Airlines First Class, and have been selected by luxury hospitality names including The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott Brickell.

Every Chocoteja represents what Helena has stood for for more than 50 years:

Real Peruvian Chocolate. Handcrafted tradition. Exceptional flavor.
